Marissa Keddis joined Methfessel & Werbel in September 2010 after completing a clerkship for the Honorable Michael R. Casale, J.S.C. in Essex County. As part of her duties, Ms. Keddis authored legal opinions and conducted extensive legal research on matters including insurance law, employment law and civil rights. Ms. Keddis also received her certification as a civil mediator. Ms. Keddis attended Seton Hall Law School on a Presidential Scholarship. In law school, Ms. Keddis was a member of the Seton Hall Legislative Journal and volunteered with the International Human Rights Clinic. During her third year, Ms. Keddis clerked for a solo practitioner in Somerset County. Ms. Keddis also gained experience as a summer associate at a large New Jersey law firm in 2008. In her first year of law school, Ms. Keddis interned for Magistrate Judge Tonianne J. Bongiovanni in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Keddis worked as a judicial intern for the Honorable James J. McGann, J.S.C. in Monmouth County and former Justice Jacqueline W. Silbermann, who served as the Administrative Judge of the Supreme Court, Civil Term in New York County. Ms. Keddis is a member of Methfessel & Werbel's Employment Practices group under the direction of Eric L. Harrison. Her practice is concentrated in the areas of employment law, education law, public entity law, discrimination and civil rights.
