About

Lola assists companies in securing temporary work visas and employment-based green cards for international talent. She successfully represented companies specializing in information technology, digital marketing, R&D, as well as enterprises involved in ride hailing technology, marine vessel construction and consumer product design and manufacture. For individuals, Lola helps families of U.S. citizens and green card holders in immigrating to the United States and assists clients in obtaining fiancé(e), student, work, and other visas from the U.S. consulates abroad. She represents lawful permanent residents in obtaining citizenship and helps refugees with securing asylum in the United States. She also helps clients to resolve immigration issues stemming from arrests or criminal convictions. Lola has been working in the immigration law area for over 20 years. Prior to joining MacDonald Hoague & Bayless in 2013, Lola worked as immigration paralegal at the in-house legal department of a multinational telecommunications corporation, supporting the company’s foreign national employees, HR, Recruiting, and corporate leadership on a wide variety of immigration issues. Before that, Lola spent 10 years working in the Consular Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, focusing on non-immigrant and immigrant visas and leading the Embassy’s fraud detection and prevention program. While in law school, Lola served as a judicial extern for the Honorable Michael S. Spearman at Division One of the Washington Court of Appeals. Lola is also committed to helping the immigrant and refugee communities thrive in the new country. She served on the King County Task Force for Immigrants and Refugees, making recommendations to Executive Dow Constantine on establishing a permanent commission dedicated to immigrants and refugees. She is also a frequent speaker on immigration issues. She was cited by Geekwire and featured in a panel presentation faciliated by King County TV ?v=nzm0_8cvcTk. Lola also teaches Immigration Law as a part-time faculty at Edmonds College.
