I have practiced adoption law for 41 years with a concentration in adoption and child welfare law for the last 35 years. I have represented birthparents and prospective adoptive parents in over 2,500 adoptions, including adoptions from 40 states and 17 foreign countries. I am an adoptive parent. I also gave birth to a child after utilizing assisted reproduction technology. My extended family includes children who have joined our family through stepparent adoption, foreign adoption, transracial adoption, embryo adoption and assisted reproduction technology.
