About
Sidney P. Davis, Jr., obtained his law degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 1960 and has practiced law with the firm now known as Davis, Clark, Butt, Carithers & Taylor, PLC, ever since. He was a lecturer in Law and Insurance at the University of Arkansas Law School from 1962 through 1980. He has been a Fellow in the American College of Trial Lawyers since 1981, serving as Arkansas State Chair for two years (1994/1995). He is also a member of the Defense Research Institute and Arkansas Association of Defense Counsel, receiving the Outstanding Defense Attorney Award in 1995/1996. He received the Outstanding Lawyer Award from the Arkansas Bar Association and Arkansas Bar Foundation in 1985/1986 and received the 2012 Fayetteville Bet-the-Company Litigation Lawyer of the Year from Best Lawyers in America. He was rated as one of the Top 50 lawyers in Arkansas by SuperLawyers for 2013 and is rated AV-Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell.
