Rory L. Francis serves as Special Litigation Counsel at Fisher & Associates, P.C., where he leads the Litigation Group. With a robust focus on personal injury and insurance coverage disputes, including "bad faith" litigation, Mr. Francis brings a wealth of experience to his clients. Prior to joining Fisher & Associates, Mr. Francis held the position of Senior In-House Litigation Attorney for a prominent commercial insurance company, where he managed litigation across Colorado. His extensive background also includes roles as General Counsel for various small companies in the insurance and healthcare sectors in Colorado and Florida, as well as experience in private practice at boutique insurance defense firms in Denver. Mr. Francis's previous appointments include Associate Regional Counsel for the largest publicly traded domestic insurance company, where he engaged in regulatory compliance, legislative reform, and administrative proceedings pertinent to the insurance industry. His in-depth knowledge of contract interpretation has been instrumental in resolving complex insurance coverage disputes. With over 15 years in the insurance industry before law school, Mr. Francis directed litigation and oversaw “bad faith” claims across eleven states. He is recognized as an expert witness in insurance “bad faith” cases and frequently lectures on insurance law both locally and nationally. An accomplished trial attorney, Mr. Francis has a proven track record in federal courts and state appellate courts throughout Colorado. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Denver – Sturm College of Law, where he served as Vice President of the Moot Court Board. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Utah, complemented by studies in Architectural Engineering and Geology at the University of Colorado.
