Meredith specializes in criminal defense, family law and general litigation. Prior to establishing Travers Law, PLLC, in 2021, she was an associate with Kozak, Davis & Renninger, PC, in Portsmouth, VA. At the Kozak Firm, Meredith honed her litigation skills in both criminal and civil trials in Virginia. She spent the earlier years of her career as a prosecutor for the City of Norfolk and the City of Suffolk where she specialized in domestic violence and drug related cases. Meredith routinely handles all aspects of family law including premarital agreements, divorce, separation, cutody, and support issues. She routinely goes to trial throughout Hampton Roads and is also a skilled negotiator when settlement is in her clients' best interest. As a criminal defense attorney, she represents clients both in and out of custody. In this capacity, Meredith regularly represents clients throughout Hamton Roads in the General District, Juvenile and Domestic Relations, and Circuit Courts. She has a strong background of successful jury verdicts. Meredith earned her Juris Doctorate from Wake Forest University in 2004. She graduated from the University of Georgia in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism where she majored in Public Relations and minored in Political Science. She lives with her husband and children in Hampton Roads where members of her family have lived for generations.
