About
In my real estate practice, I represent local and national developers and lenders in all aspects of acquisition, development, financing, leasing, and disposition for multi-family residential, mixed-use, office, and retail projects - with a focus on creative, cost-efficient results. I create private equity and debt funds for private regional lenders and other real estate-related companies, and assist them on a range of financing transactions. As Cairncross & Hempelmann's Managing Partner, I'm responsible for the day-to-day management of the firm, and supervise administration, finances, technology, and business development. My deep passion for Seattle and city government led to my appointment by former Mayor Greg Nickels to the Pike Place Market Council, where I currently serve as chair. I am an identical twin (I credit this for my highly developed people-antenna) and lived in Paris for four years (still read French newspapers). Hemingway, with his clarity and mastery of language, will always be one of my favorite authors. And in a guilty pleasure sort of way, I am really enjoying the proliferation of micro-distilleries in the area.
