About
Laurie Rosenbaum Williams, is a graduate of Meridian High School and Mississippi State University with a BA in Mass Media Communications, as well as a graduate of the University of Mississippi Law School. She served as the first woman elected Student Association President in MSU=s 100 year history in 1979. Williams served as Parliamentarian and PanHellenic representative for Kappa Delta Sorority. While at MSU, Williams was a member of Cardinal Key, Centennial Honor Society, Order of Omega, Omicron Delta Kappa, Alpha Lambda Delta, Hall of Fame, and Who’s Who. Currently, Williams is a defense litigation attorney in active practice for 30 years. She has served as 2nd Vice President and Senior Counsel for USF&G/St. Paul/Travelers Insurance Company and is a shareholder of Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Williams serves on the Mississippi State University Dean of Arts & Sciences Advisory Board and was selected a 2015 Arts & Sciences Fellow at MSU. She currently serves as a volunteer on the Executive Leadership team of Go Red for Women. She has served as President of the Madison the City Chamber of Commerce, President of the Mississippi Girlchoir, President and Gala Chairman of the Cancer League of Jackson, and a sustaining member of the Madison-Ridgeland Jr. Auxiliary. She is a founding member of the Executive Women=s Golf Association and the Rex Bridge Club, and has served as the Green Lizard Scholarship Chairman and a Judge Liaison for the International Ballet Competition. She is a volunteer interview coach for girls participating in the Distinguished Young Woman and Miss Mississippi Pageants. Williams was the recipient of the Mississippi Bar Association Citizenship award in 2013, selected as one of Mississippi=s 50 Leading Business Women in 2007 and selected Dynamic Woman of Mississippi in 2008.
