John is from Powell, Wyoming where he began training in a Hawaiian martial art during his junior year of high school. He has continued to train and teach this martial art for over 30 years. John met his wife in Mexico City and has been married for 16 years. In his free time, John enjoys hiking, playing racquetball, and traveling with his wife.
