Izak Conrad Rosenfeld serves as Assistant General Counsel at MITRE, a prominent nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing science and technology for public benefit. In his role, Izak provides expert legal counsel on a wide range of issues, including corporate compliance, commercial contracts, international governance, technology transactions, and dispute resolution. Licensed to practice law in New York, Washington D.C., and before the U.S. Supreme Court, he also holds registrations as Corporate Counsel in Virginia, as well as credentials as a Barrister & Solicitor in Ontario and a Lawyer in Victoria, Australia. Izak is a Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) specializing in EU data protection regulations. Before joining MITRE, Izak honed his legal expertise as global in-house compliance and contracts counsel for Access Now, an international nonprofit focused on digital rights and data advocacy. His background also includes significant experience in litigation and corporate transactions gained at a commercial law firm. He earned his Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Melbourne, complemented by legal studies at McGill University. Izak is deeply engaged in the legal community, currently serving as an Associate Judge for the American Bar Association's Awards and Subgrants Committee, an Arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), and as a member of the ABA Pro Bono and Public Service Committee. Additionally, he is the Programs Co-Chair for the Association of Corporate Counsel’s International Legal Affairs Network. Beyond his professional commitments, Izak dedicates time to public service as a Flotilla Staff Officer with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and offers pro bono legal assistance through various initiatives, including the ABA's "Free Legal Answers" Program. He is also involved in mentoring law students at Melbourne Law School and contributes to the International Mediation Institute as a Young Mediator.
