About
David Dean Franklin Oberg is an accomplished attorney at Jones Oberg & Green, LLP in Charlottesville, Virginia, specializing in Employment Law and Tax. Born and raised in a small fishing village in rural Alaska, David's roots continue to influence his professional ethos. He earned his law degree from Cornell University, where he met his wife. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Jonathan H. Link, J.S.C. in Alaska and gained experience at the prestigious international law firm Heller Ehrman White & McAuliffe. After relocating to the New York metropolitan area, David served as litigation counsel at Lowenstein Sandler, PC from 1998 to 2004. He was elected to the Albemarle County School Board in 2015 and has served as past Chair of the Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC). A dedicated family man, David holds a Third Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and enjoys training with his wife and daughter. He also contributes to the local community as a Head Coach with the Soccer Organization of Charlottesville/Albemarle and is an active member of Crozet United Methodist Church.
