Claire M. Ty was born in Phnom-Penh, Cambodia, and speaks her native language fluently. Her parents immigrated to France when she was five years old where she was raised. Claire graduated from law school ( Maîtrise de Droit Privé) at the Universite de Droit et de Sciences Politiques de Reims, France. She speaks and writes French fluently. In 1995, she came to the United States when she married her husband. Claire went back to law school in the United States and earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree (JD) from the Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis. She has been practicing law for 11 years. Her law office concentrates only on immigration law cases.
