Katie Rosenberger is co-owner and founding partner at Villarrubia & Rosenberger, P.C. Katie practices Family Law and Immigration Law. Katie has tapped into her life-long passion for public service in her private practice by delivering a thoughtful and personalized experience to clients from a wide variety of backgrounds. Katie is also fluent in Spanish, which allows her to work with a diverse clientele. Katie specializes in Divorce, Custody and Parenting Time, Paternity, Child Support, Protective Orders, Adoptions, Guardianships and Mediation. As a Registered and trained Domestic Relations Mediator, Katie is able to assist individuals and couples come to a mutual resolution to move their families forward. Katie prides herself on providing sensible, sensitive and customized solutions for families going through some of the most difficult times of their lives. She has experience guiding clients through the complex and ever-changing processes of Spousal Petitions, Family Petitions, Waivers, Consular Processing, Adjustments of Status, Residency renewals, Naturalization and Deferred Action. She also has extensive experience assisting victims of serious crimes and victims of domestic violence in obtaining nonimmigrant visas such as the U Visa and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions. Katie also represents clients who are in removal proceedings in obtaining relief from deportation, including Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Adjustment of Status and more. She received her Juris Doctorate from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis where she graduated cum laude with a certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Studies from Indiana University Bloomington, graduating magna cum laude. Katie spent a year abroad in Madrid, Spain mastering her linguistic skills where she took a full course of university classes in Spanish, and taught English to Spanish children. Katie is very active in her Near-Westside community, serving on the Board of Directors of the Hawthorne Community Center as a member of the Programs and Personnel Committee. She is also a member of the leadership team of Hawthorne Neighborhood Association, part of the Near West Collaborative. She is particularly enthusiastic about neighborhood beautification and engaging Spanish-speaking residents.
