Alyssa Leigh Johnson is an associate attorney at Yost & Baill, LLP, where she specializes in automobile subrogation in Minnesota. With a robust practice focused on negotiating and corresponding with attorneys and insurance companies, Alyssa dedicates a significant portion of her work to litigating cases in both District and Conciliation Courts. Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Saint Paul, Minnesota, completing her studies in just two and a half years. During her time in law school, she served as a Student Attorney for the 1st District Public Defenders Office and the Legal Assistance to Minnesota Prisoners Clinic, providing crucial support to indigent prisoners facing civil and criminal challenges. Additionally, she contributed over 120 hours of pro bono legal service through the Minnesota Justice Foundation. Alyssa also had the unique opportunity to study abroad at Regent’s University in London, where she learned under Chief Justice John G. Roberts. Before specializing in automobile subrogation, Alyssa practiced as a Criminal Defense Trial Lawyer, receiving recognition as a Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Attorney in 2019. Alyssa is licensed to practice law in Minnesota, the United States District Court for Minnesota, and the District of Columbia. She is an active member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Minnesota Women Lawyers, and the Washington District of Columbia Bar Association. Alyssa holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Political Science and History, along with minors in Communication and International Studies from Alderson Broaddus University. Outside of her legal career, she enjoys traveling with her husband and spending time with her English Bulldogs, Kevin and Larry.
