Alexis recieved her Juris Doctorate from Golden Gate University in San Francisco where she graduated with a Certificate with Distinction in International Law and enjoyed studying abroad in Paris, France. After successfully passing the California Bar exam Alexis then obtained her LL.M degree graduating with Honors in International Law at Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, studying for a semester in Bologna, Italy. Alexis previously worked for three years in Los Angeles at a civil litigation firm specializing in trial, mediation, deposition, and general law and motion practice. Alexis went on to be an Assistant Attorney General for the Republic of Palau for two years defending the Republic in all civil suits. In the Republic of Palau Alexis was able to gain experience in a wide practice area and handle complex domestic and international issues. In January of 2014, Alexis returned to California and the Sacramento area and joined The Burton Law Firm. In her spare time, Alexis enjoys travelling and languages. Alexis speaks a little French and Italian and very basic Palauan. In addition to being licensed in California, Alexis is a British Solicitor having successfully completed the exam in 2010.
