William "Bill" O'Sullivan is a member of the firm's Patent Group. He provides strategic counseling on a broad range of intellectual property issues, with an emphasis on patent prosecution and related counseling on inventions relating to electrical, mechanical, optical and software technologies for domestic and international clients. Bill's practice also involves due diligence studies, freedom-to-operate investigations, and infringement and validity opinions, as well as post-grant challenges to the validity of issued patents. Bill's practice also involves trademark prosecution and related counseling. Prior to joining the firm, Bill was a Principal in the New York office of Fish & Richardson, P.C. He also spent several years working as an electrical engineer and an engineering project manager.
