Walt is a senior counsel attorney with more than 40 years of experience and is part of the Saxton & Stump Trusts and Estates, Commercial Litigation, and Labor and Employment groups. He has negotiated collective bargaining agreements on behalf of corporations and municipalities and regularly speaks on current human resources topics such as: Non-compete, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements The Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Discrimination in the workplace Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) Employee discipline and terminations Litigation in state and federal courts, and before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission In commercial, business, and real estate disputes, Walt has represented clients in federal and state courts, in arbitrations and in court-ordered and private mediations. He has represented clients in cases where they wanted to attempt to preserve a business relationship, and in cases where he needed to apply aggressive representation to protect the client. Walt’s clients have depended on his advice for contract disputes, real estate and land use issues, and employment litigation. Walt’s trusts and estates trial practice leads to regular appearances in court to challenge the validity of a will or trust document, or to protect the integrity of these documents on behalf of an executor or estate administrator. Walt regularly represents executors or administrators of estates, and beneficiaries of estates, protecting and enforcing their rights under Pennsylvania’s inheritance and estate administration laws. In 2025, Walt joined Saxton & Stump with other attorneys and professionals from longtime York County law firm Stock & Leader. Before joining Saxton & Stump, Walt was the chair of the Litigation Group at Stock & Leader. A husband, father and grandfather, Walt earned his law degree at the Temple University School of Law and has two undergraduate degrees – in Political Science and Psychology – from Syracuse University, where he graduated magna cum laude.
