Attorney Utrophia “Trophy” Robinson is a graduate of the University of Georgia School of Law and Duke University. With roots in Senoia, Georgia, Trophy graduated from Lovejoy High School where she began her journey in trial advocacy in Mock Trial. As team captain her senior year, Trophy won her first award for excellence in advocacy as the 2007 Julie Jobe award winner for Excellence In Mock Trial. Trophy continued to sharpen her trial skills at Duke where she was a member of the Mock Trial team while earning her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and African Studies. After graduating from Duke, Trophy attended the University of Georgia School of Law and quickly stood out as an advocate in both Mock Trial and Moot Court. In her first year, Trophy won the 2012 J. Ralph Beaird 1L Closing Argument Mock Trial Tournament. The next year, she and her team went on to become regional champions in the ABA Moot Court Competition and drafted the National Best Brief. In her third year, Trophy was one half of the dynamic team that took home the Andrews Kurth National Moot Court Championship, a national competition that yearly hosts the top moot court teams form around the country. In additional to winning the competition overall, Trophy brought home the prize for second best oralist of the competition and the team wrote the third best brief. Trophy was inducted as a 2014 member of the Order of the Barrister for demonstrating excellence in trial advocacy. Trophy began practicing law before graduating law school as a public defender under the 3rd year practice act with the Athens and DeKalb County public defender offices. After graduating, Trophy joined the law firm of Lueder, Larkin and Hunter where she practiced insurance defense, giving her an inside edge on personal injury from the perspective of the insurance company. She used that edge to advocate on behalf of “the people” as an attorney at Morgan & Morgan in Atlanta, Georgia. Additionally, Trophy served as the Staff Attorney for the Honorable Judge Shana Rooks in Clayton, County, managing the judge’s case load in criminal, civil and domestic cases. Now Trophy is using her wealth of knowledge to serve her own clients and community with dignity and respect.
