About
A native of western Massachusetts, Moran came to Providence College on a soccer scholarship in 2000 and has remained in Rhode Island ever since. After earning a B.S. degree in finance in 2004, he embarked on a career in business development within the real-estate law field. Moran had long wanted to be a lawyer, however, so after eight years in the business world, he enrolled at Roger Williams University School of Law. He worked for two years as an intern at in the general counsel’s office at Nortek, Inc., won a CALI Excellence Award for Personal Transactions, served on the executive board of the Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, and graduated with distinction. By that time, Moran knew that he preferred to practice law on behalf of individuals instead of corporations, and joined the law firm of Weiss & Associates, where he handled a variety of legal matters. In joining, Marasco and Nesselbush in early 2016, Moran saw an opportunity to narrow his practice to plaintiff’s litigation involving personal injury, products liability, and medical malpractice. To Moran, it’s work that provides personal fulfillment. “When people are injured in a car accident or a slip-and-fall or as the result of some kind of medical negligence, they often can’t fight for themselves because they don’t have that expertise, so they look to us to do that for them,” he says. “I think we play a very important role in our society to help those who sometimes are in a position where they can’t help themselves.”
