In the course of his practice, Teddy maintains a personal touch with his clients. Quite simply put, Teddy’s clients are considered friends. Each and every client receives an extremely high-quality customized estate plan, which is specifically designed to meet his/her needs. Teddy’s practice is limited to estate planning, trust and probate administration, estate and gift taxation, guardianship and conversatorship law and personal injury law. On the rare occasion that Teddy’s clients’ require legal advice, which is outside the scope of his practice, an appropriate list of affiliate counsels are provided, who also share his philosophy of providing the highest caliber of legal services at a reasonable cost. While attending law school with two small children and a wife working full time at night as a Registered Nurse, Teddy worked as a law clerk in the Legal Department for Sharp Healthcare. During Teddy’s last year of law school, he worked as a law clerk for the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists (CAMFT). Upon graduation from law school Teddy continued to work at CAMFT and moved into a Staff Attorney position with CAMFT upon passing the California State Bar. Upon leaving CAMFT to explore new areas of law Teddy worked for Asaro Keagy Freeland & Mckinley, an Eminent Domain and Real Property Litigation Law Firm here in San Diego since 1965. While working at Asaro Keagy Freeland & Mckinley, Teddy also worked with Frank Griswold, an Estate Planning Attorney here in San Diego since 1973. Soon thereafter Teddy assumed full responsibility for Frank Griswold’s practice and has focused exclusively on estate planning matters since that time. In 2008 Teddy purchased the law practice of attorney Linda Schumacher. Linda has been practicing in the area of estate planning, probate and trust administration for over 15 years.
