Extensive exposure to all aspects of corporate bankruptcy practice, including representation of Debtors- in-Possession, secured lenders, creditors' committees, chapter 11 and chapter 7 trustees; preparation of pleadings and memoranda on complex bankruptcy issues, including use of cash collateral/DIP financing, disclosure statement/plan confirmation; substantial litigation experience in adversary proceedings; conduct depositions and Rule 2004 exams; appearances before bankruptcy judges in Central District of California, Los Angeles, San Fernando, Riverside and Santa Ana Divisions; experience with commercial litigation, forbearance agreements, commercial property purchase and sale agreements, asset based lending and state court receiverships. Particular emphasis on health care insolvency, serving as lead bankruptcy counsel for creditors’ committees in chapter 11 cases, including Parkview Community Hospital, Elastar Community Hospital, Granada Hills Community Hospital, Watts Health Plan and Victor Valley Community Hospital, counsel for the Receiver in Lifeguard, Inc. (HMO), and as counsel for the Chapter 11 Trustee in Corona Care Convalescent Corporation, Inc. and Corona Care Retirement, Inc.
