Stephen Brown is a dedicated immigration attorney at Ritchie-Reiersen Injury and Immigration Attorneys in Auburn, Washington. With a career focused exclusively on immigration law, he has substantial experience in the Seattle and Tacoma Immigration Courts, successfully advocating for clients in cases involving asylum, torture protection, fraud waivers, adjustment of status, and extreme hardship. Having lived along the U.S./Mexico border for two years, Stephen became fluent in Spanish and immersed himself in Hispanic culture. His studies in law in Guatemala and his internship at a local law firm further enhanced his connection to the Hispanic and immigrant communities, enabling him to understand his clients' unique challenges as they navigate the complex immigration process. In addition to his work in Immigration Courts, Stephen has effectively represented clients in family-based visa cases with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in Seattle and Yakima, as well as at U.S. Embassies worldwide. Stephen earned his Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctor from Seattle University School of Law. He is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and has been actively involved in community service, including participation in the El Centro De La Raza Free Legal Clinic and volunteering with Casa Latina in Seattle. Currently, he is contracted with the Consulate of Guatemala in Seattle to provide legal services to Guatemalan citizens across the Northwest, and he recently began working with the Salvadoran Consulate to assist Salvadoran citizens in the region.
