About
Shawn David Snyder is a dedicated attorney at Parks, Bryant & Snyder, PLLC, located in the heart of Columbia, TN. With a unique upbringing rooted in diverse cultural perspectives—his father a Catholic from New York and his mother an evangelical from Texas—Shawn has developed a profound understanding of human conflict and resolution. Rather than shying away from disagreements, he embraces them as opportunities for growth and dialogue. Specializing in estate planning and personal injury law, Shawn is particularly adept at guiding clients through challenging times. He believes that many individuals facing legal disputes seek resolution, not confrontation. This philosophy allows him to approach family law matters with a problem-solving mindset, ensuring that clients receive compassionate, practical guidance tailored to their specific situations. Shawn’s academic journey began at Texas A&M University, where he dual-majored in Political Science and English, complemented by a minor in History. He then earned his Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. His time in law school was also marked by a personal endeavor—teaching himself to play the guitar, a skill he humorously admits is more entertaining than expert. Before joining Parks, Bryant & Snyder, Shawn served as the executive director of a community mediation center for nearly three years, where he honed his mediation skills as a Rule 31 mediator. Having facilitated hundreds of mediations, he is committed to helping clients find amicable solutions that preserve relationships and foster understanding. In his downtime, Shawn enjoys spending time with his wife, Lesley, and has a playful ambition to resolve the creative impasse between The Civil Wars members, offering his mediation services pro bono to rekindle their musical collaboration. Through his unique blend of empathy and expertise, Shawn David Snyder is not just an attorney; he is a trusted advocate committed to guiding clients toward brighter futures.
