Shari R. Gelfont Williams is a dedicated and compassionate family lawyer based in Holland, Pennsylvania, serving clients throughout the greater Philadelphia area. With a robust focus on adoption law, Shari brings a wealth of experience in various aspects of family law, including divorce, child support, alimony, custody, equitable distribution, and marital agreements. In addition to her extensive practice in family law, Shari has made significant contributions to domestic violence representation as an experienced Protection from Abuse (PFA) attorney. She previously coordinated a Domestic Violence Legal Representation Program in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has actively participated in the Bucks County Pro Bono PFA representation initiative. Her dedication to serving those in need has been recognized by the Bucks County Bar Association, which honored her for her exceptional pro bono work. Shari earned her undergraduate degree from the Pennsylvania State University before pursuing her law degree at Whittier College School of Law in Los Angeles, California, where she served as the editor of the Law School newspaper, The Barrister. She holds active licenses to practice law in Pennsylvania and Florida and is also admitted to the federal courts in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and both the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. As an advocate for legal education, Shari has been a presenter for continuing legal education classes in Pennsylvania, Florida, and North Carolina, covering essential topics such as protection from abuse, dependency case planning, juvenile defense, hurricane preparedness, and domestic violence representation. Outside the realm of law, Shari treasures her time with family. She resides in Holland, PA, with her husband and their four beloved dogs: Rose, Moose, Indie, and Dolly. Her son is currently pursuing his studies at West Chester University, while her daughter is enrolled at Penn State University. Shari is actively involved in the Bucks County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association as a member of the Family Lawyers Division Council. Additionally, she volunteers her time at Ohev Shalom in Richboro, PA, where she has served as a substitute teacher and high holiday leader for the past decade and as the librarian for the last two years. A passionate supporter of local sports, Shari is an avid fan of Philly sports teams and Penn State football.
