Sean O’Keefe is a lifelong resident of Middletown, in Frederick County, Maryland. Upon graduating from Middletown High School, he earned his B.A., magna cum laude, in Political Science at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC), with a minor in Sociology. At UMBC, Mr. O’Keefe became a member of The Phi Beta Kappa Society and received a Certificate of General Honors from the Honors College. Mr. O’Keefe was awarded his J.D., Certificate in Estate Planning, and LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Baltimore School of Law. While in law school, he was recognized for concentrating in Estate Planning and Real Estate Practice, served as president of the Real Estate Law Association, and tutored students in Civil Procedure. Mr. O’Keefe enjoys officiating at high school track and cross country meets, fly fishing, running, and hockey. He is an active member of the American, Maryland State, and Frederick County Bar Associations, where he serves as the ABA Disrict Representative for District 8 (MD & VA) (ABA YLD and MSBA YLS), chair of the Pro Bono Committee (BAFC), and secretary (BAFC YLS). Mr. O'Keefe serves as treasurer for the Middletown Area Chamber of Commerce, and on the Planned Giving Committee for Hospice of Frederick County.
