Scott Douglas Kruger is a seasoned attorney based in Hamilton, Ohio, where he leads the personal injury practice at Kruger & Hodges, LLC Attorneys at Law. A proud native of Hamilton, Scott graduated as the Valedictorian of Hamilton High School in 1997 before pursuing higher education at The Ohio State University, where he earned a Cum Laude degree in 2001. His legal journey began in earnest at Northern Kentucky University Chase College of Law, where he honed his skills as a law clerk for a prominent personal injury firm in Cincinnati while also gaining unique experience as a Youth Corrections Officer at the Butler County Juvenile Detention Center. Scott earned his Juris Doctor in 2005 and gained invaluable trial experience working with the Hamilton County Public Defender’s Office. In 2008, he transitioned to private practice, winning his very first jury trial and quickly establishing a reputation for excellence in both criminal defense and personal injury law. Over the past decade, Scott has successfully navigated a wide array of criminal matters, including serious felonies such as Aggravated Burglary, Gross Sexual Imposition, and Kidnapping, alongside cases of Theft, Domestic Violence, OVI/DUI, Voyeurism, and Assault. In addition to his criminal defense work, he has secured numerous favorable settlements for clients facing challenges from automobile accidents, serious personal injuries, and wrongful death claims. Outside of the courtroom, Scott is an enthusiastic sports fan and a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, holding the rank of purple belt and achieving a Bronze medal in international competition. Committed to his community, he serves on the boards of the Hamilton City School District and the Hamilton Community Foundation, is an active member of the Hamilton Rotary Club, and chairs the Notary Commission of the Butler County Bar Association. Scott also volunteers for Hand Me Down Dobes, Inc., a Doberman Pinscher rescue organization. He resides in Hamilton with his wife, Tara, and their three dogs, continuing to foster a deep connection with his community.
