Sarah K. Carpenter’s practice focuses on Construction Litigation, Contract/Commercial Litigation, and Employment Law in state and federal court. Sarah is experienced in the prosecution and defense of construction disputes, including, without limitation, contract negotiation and drafting, Chapter 558 pre-litigation claims, mechanic’s liens, improper and/or negligent workmanship claims, and payment and performance bond claims. Throughout her construction litigation experience, Sarah has worked to obtain defense and indemnity obligations from her clients’ insurers as well. Sarah is also experienced in the prosecution and defense of employment law matters, including, without limitation, employment discrimination, age discrimination, Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) discrimination, retaliation, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) disputes, wage and hour claims, employee misclassification disputes, Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims, pregnancy discrimination (PDA) claims, sexual harassment claims, and drafting and negotiation of employment and/or non-competition agreements. Sarah received her law degree, cum laude, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law and graduated in the top twenty-five percent of her class.
