About

Since being admitted to the Utah State Bar, Samantha's practice has been focused on the resolution of all types of personal injury and wrongful death cases, including automobile and motorcycle negligence, trucking and commercial negligence, premises liability, construction accidents, medical malpractice, product liability, dog bites, and sexual harassment. Samantha has extensive experience as a civil litigator in both state and federal courts, and she has represented a diverse set of clients, including individuals, corporate clients, insurance companies, and their insureds. In so doing, Samantha gained valuable insight into the defense strategies and tactics of large corporations and insurance companies. She now uses this experience and insider knowledge to obtain the best results for her clients. After Samantha's sister tragically lost her life from injuries sustained in an auto accident, Samantha gained valuable insight on the true emotional, physical, and financial costs arising from personal injury and wrongful death. This understanding serves as the bedrock of Samantha's conviction to zealously represent her clients in achieving a fair and just resolution. Other Legal Pursuits and Interests In addition to representing victims of personal injury, Samantha is passionate about her work in representing victims of wrongful incarceration. In 2017, Samantha's legal efforts resulted in the exoneration of Mr. DeMarlo Berry, who spent more than two decades behind bars after he was wrongfully convicted of a 1994 murder that he did not commit. Thereafter, in 2020, Mr. Berry was the first individual in Nevada state history to receive a certificate of innocence, and with that, he was awarded $2.2 million in damages as part of Nevada's state compensation statute. Additionally, in 2021, Mr. Berry received an additional $14.5 million settlement from the local municipality and police department that was involved in his 1994 arrest and subsequent wrongful conviction.
