I have been practicing criminal defense in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Federal District Court for over 23 years. Formerly I was a certified death penalty trial attorney by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. Attorneys may only be certified after they have had at least 8 felony trials to verdict. Although it also requires 16 hours of credits in continuing legal education specifically focusing on death penalty cases, an attorney may not be certified unless they have the prerequisite trial experience. I have also been appointed to the Criminal Justice Act Panel (CJA) through the Federal Government for over 12 years. As a CJA attorney, I am appointed to represent indigent criminal defendants in the Federal Court system. I am thoroughly knowledgeable with federal criminal practice having done several trials to verdict with two acquittals in a multi defendant case involving the distribution of drugs. I am one of the very few attorneys in the Lehigh Valley that has had felony level criminal trials in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Federal District Court.
Criminal defense attorneys represent individuals accused of crimes, protecting their constitutional rights throughout the legal process. They work to achieve the best possible outcome through negotiation or trial. Common matters include dui/dwi, drug charges, assault, theft.
