About

Ricky is a real estate and business lawyer providing a wide range of transactional and general counsel legal services. He advises clients regarding real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, financings, joint ventures, and private equity transactions. He also issues title insurance as an agent of Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, First American Title Insurance Company, and North American Title Insurance Company. In addition, Ricky advises companies, investors, and entrepreneurs regarding mergers and acquisitions, private securities offerings, contract negotiation, licensing, employee and shareholder matters, and company formation—frequently working with startups. Ricky serves as many of his clients’ “on call” outside counsel, providing the advantage of learning his clients’ businesses without the typical overhead of an in-house attorney. Clients often retain Ricky to advise them during contentious commercial disputes and to manage litigation. Ricky grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando, where he studied finance and spent much of his time working in the live music business, including as a promoter and production and touring manager for national acts and festivals. Ricky then attended Florida State University for law school. Away from the office, Ricky enjoys traveling with his wife Leah and chasing around his son Hayes. You may also find Ricky at the golf course or raising money for the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation--a cause and organization he is most passionate about.
