About

Following service as a state and local prosecutor, Rick became engaged in private practice in Chester County in 1990. Rick assists clients in the preparation of wills, trusts, power of attorneys and living wills. He aids clients in the administration of estates and the filing of inheritance tax returns. He also works with individuals in the formation of limited liability companies, contract drafting and negotiations, sales and acquisition, and has assisted in exploring business development projects. Rick has successfully represented clients on many disputes, including several million dollar claims under a power company contract; imposition of a restraining order to remedy the unauthorized use of client contact information by a former employee; abatement of an IRS 100% penalty assessment against corporate officers of a company failing to pay employment taxes; defense of an estate against a claim by a disappointed son of the decedent; and defense of a landowner on environmental claims. Rick acted on a contract basis as solicitor for Chester County Dept. of Children, Youth and Families from 1990 to 2005 and from 2011 to 2017. He also represents clients on social security disability claims. Rick was a partner with the law firm of Crawford, Wilson & Ryan until 2006. He served in the Business Group of Montgomery, McCracken Walker & Rhoads before joining Ryan, Morton & Imms LLC. Rick has been frequently named a Top Main Line Attorney in the area of Wills & Trusts. Rick remains involved in the local community. He has served as member and Chairman of the Advisory Board to the West Chester Salvation Army as well as Chairman to the Citizen’s Advisory Board to the Chester County Department of Children Youth and Families. Rick was a member and Sunday School teacher for many years at Central Schwenkfelder Church, Worcester, PA and serves as a member and Sunday School teacher at Christ Memorial Lutheran Church in Malvern, PA. He is a member of the Descendants of the Signers of the Declaration of Independence and recently participated in a joint U.S./Finland project exploring the heritage of his Signer. Rick obtained a B.S. degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and graduated summa cum laude and valedictorian of his class from the Delaware Law School.
