About

PETER A. ARTURI serves as of counsel to Cohen and Wolf at the firm's Danbury office, and is a member of the firm's Business & Corporate , Real Estate and Commercial Lending Groups. Mr. Arturi regularly advises individuals, early stage start-ups and established companies on how to create, enforce and exploit intellectual property assets. He also handles various business and transactional matters including capital and corporate structure, commercial financing, and technology licensing. Mr. Arturi previously served as general counsel to Spalding Sports Worldwide, and later, Callaway Golf Ball Operations, where he was a member of the senior management team and regularly advised the company on advertising, antitrust, intellectual property, licensing and sports law. Mr. Arturi speaks before various business and legal audiences, and formerly taught continuing education courses for the American Institute of Banking. He most recently spoke at the annual meeting of the Intellectual Property Law Section of the American Bar Association in Alexandria, Virginia, where he presented a session on crowdfunding and trademarks. Mr. Arturi is admitted to practice in Connecticut, Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court, District of Connecticut. He is a member of the American Bar Association and its Business and Intellectual Property sections, and the Connecticut Bar Association and its Banking, Business, Intellectual Property and Real Property sections. Active in the community, Mr. Arturi has held a number of positions on community and charitable boards in southern Litchfield County, including chairman of the Board of Trustees of Washington Montessori School and chairman of the Washington Historic District Commission, and is an advisory board member of Union Savings Bank. Mr. Arturi previously coached youth baseball, helped establish a youth soccer program, acted as coaching director of a local youth hockey program, and still coaches instructional ice hockey. Mr. Arturi received his A.B. with honors from Hamilton College and his J.D. with honors from the University of Connecticut School of Law.
