Patrick Keel is a mediator and arbitrator with Patrick Keel, Mediator-Arbitrator, specializing in alternative dispute resolution. He has handled thousands of disputes involving commercial contracts, construction, employment law, intellectual property, real estate, and personal injury claims. Prior to establishing his mediation practice, Mr. Keel practiced commercial litigation for thirteen years at Baker Botts LLP, where he was a partner. He is also an adjunct professor at the University of Texas School of Law and has served on the Professional Ethics Committee for the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Keel is a member of the Texas Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, a sustaining life fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation, and a master emeritus of the Robert W. Calvert American Inn of Court. He received the Austin Bar Association’s Professionalism Award in 2018 and was named UT Law Alumni Association's Mentor of the Year in 2017. He earned his B.A. in Economics and J.D. from the University of Texas at Austin.
