Before joining as an associate, Nick previously served as firm administrator and clerk for Witt & Howard where he developed litigation skills working on both state and federal matters. Nick is an independent self-starter with experience in small to medium enterprise development. Before pursuing a career in law, Nick helped grow a small bioenergy company, where his focus was concentrated on contracts and project management, both in the drafting and negotiation phase. With a focus on corporate law, Nick’s law school coursework revolved around the study of contracts, business enterprises, secured transactions, sales and leases, federal and state taxation, mergers and acquisitions, antitrust, and corporate governance and compliance. Nick’s practice is focused on providing legal support to economic and business development activities to Michigan business owners located in the counties of Genesee, Livingston, and Oakland. Nick is dedicated to business law legal issues and the preparation, review and negotiation of legal documents related to the organization of corporations, limited liability companies (LLCs), partnerships and other business enterprises, the financing of business enterprises through loans, stock and equity purchases and specialized financing techniques, the purchase and sale of businesses and a wide range of transactions that are encountered in the daily operation, growth and change of business enterprises.
