About

Nathaniel Kyle MacPherson, known as Nathan, is the founding partner of The MacPherson Group, P.C., where he currently leads the Anchorage, Alaska office. With a diverse legal career that spans multiple continents, Nathan brings a unique perspective to his practice areas, which include derivatives, real estate, and tax law. His international experience is complemented by his extensive travels to 25 countries across four continents, as well as all 47 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. Nathan's legal expertise encompasses various facets of civil and criminal tax defense, including appeals, and he adeptly navigates offshore and foreign legal matters. His proficiency in civil litigation covers complex cases such as RICO and class actions, while his robust background in securities defense and real estate—particularly in foreclosure defense and offense—enables him to offer clients valuable insights into international securitization. Growing up in a legal environment, Nathan was immersed in the profession from a young age, attending press conferences for high-profile clients, including Governor Mecham and Senator Davis, and traveling for court appearances and speaking engagements. His legal journey continued as he spent nearly four years at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, the world's second-largest law firm, where he worked in the Frankfurt and London offices. During this time, he represented major international banks in cross-border real estate financing, factoring, and securitization. His in-house assignment with Goldman Sachs' OTC-derivatives department further honed his skills in the world of finance and banking. Nathan is licensed to practice law in California, England, and Wales, allowing him to represent a diverse clientele from multiple continents. His wealth of experience and global perspective make him a formidable advocate in the fields of derivatives, real estate, and tax law.
