About

Attorney Nancy Baskin brings over twenty-five years of experience in the field of family law to her clients’ cases. She graduated from Dartmouth College cum laude in 1981 and, after spending a year working for the United States Senate, attended New York University School of Law, from which she received her J.D. in 1985. While at law school, Ms. Baskin served as a member of the editorial staff and then an editor of the New York University Law Review. She is the author of an article entitled “Widgery v. United States: Probable Acquittal,” 59 New York University Law Review 1285, 1984. After two years of practicing commercial real estate in a large law firm in Manhattan, Ms. Baskin began exclusively practicing domestic relations law in 1988, first at the premier Manhattan divorce law firm now known as Aronson, Mayefsky & Sloan, LLP for approximately five years and then, upon relocating to Boston in 1993, with a Boston domestic relations firm for five years. After practicing in the domestic relations department of a large law firm for over two years, Ms. Baskin opened her own practice in Boston in March 2001. Ms. Baskin’s firm has since grown to four attorneys, all exclusively practicing domestic relations law. She is widely regarded as a preeminent practitioner in the field of family law. Ms. Baskin has been appointed by the Massachusetts Probate and Family Court as a Discovery Master and as a Guardian ad Litem and is a volunteer for the Probate and Family Court Lawyer for the Day program. She is trained in collaborative law, and practices both litigation and mediation. She has served as a mediator and a conciliator in divorce cases at the request of other Boston family law attorneys. Ms. Baskin is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, New York, and Connecticut and is a member of the Boston Bar Association, Massachusetts Bar Association, and Women’s Bar Association.
