Mitchell King Byrd, a distinguished attorney based in Greer, SC, brings over 19 years of legal expertise to The Carolina Law Group. A proud Rock Hill native, Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Wofford College in 2000, followed by his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2004. During his time at law school, he actively contributed to the American Bar Association's Real Property, Probate, and Trust Journal and participated in the prestigious Moot Court Bar, honing his advocacy skills. Since his admission to the South Carolina Bar, Mitchell has dedicated his career to litigation, specializing in personal injury cases and probate law. His extensive experience includes serving as an economic crime prosecutor within the Thirteenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office and working within the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation system. Mitchell is an engaged member of the Greenville County Bar Association, the South Carolina Association for Justice, and Injured Workers’ Advocates. In recognition of his leadership potential, he was selected for the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Leadership Academy in 2014 and has been honored as one of the Legal Elite of the Upstate. Mitchell is passionate about empowering his clients, particularly during challenging times when they may feel overwhelmed. Outside of the legal arena, Mitchell enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Megan, and their son, Patrick.
