Born in Muncie, Indiana in 1961, Michael's journey to law began in sixth grade. His family relocated to Orange County, California, before settling in Concordville, Pennsylvania, where he excelled at Garnet Valley High School, graduating with honors and serving as Senior Class President. He pursued higher education at Villanova University, completing a rigorous four-year Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Religious Studies in just three years. During his time at Villanova, he was actively involved in Campus Ministry and the Handicap Encounter Christ Program, nurturing his passion for service. Michael continued his legal education at the University of Dayton School of Law, where he demonstrated leadership as the Second Year Class President of the Student Bar Association. His commitment to community service was further exemplified through his work in the Community Law Clinic and his role in teaching law to high school students. In addition to his legal career, Michael is a Permanent Deacon in the Byzantine Catholic Church, ordained in 1997, and serves at Saint John's Byzantine Catholic Church in Pottstown, PA. He is also a Blue & Gold Officer for the U.S. Naval Academy, assisting with admissions and fostering the next generation of leaders. Outside of his professional life, Michael enjoys collecting historic U.S. medals and plaques, exploring American history, and spending quality time with his wife and their six children, alongside their beloved pets.
