Michael P. Gianelli, Esq., is licensed to practice in Colorado, New York, and California (inactive). Prior to establishing the Law Office of Michael P. Gianelli, LLC, he practiced in New York at Reynolds, Caronia, Gianelli & La Pinta, LLP. Before entering private practice, Mr. Gianelli clerked for the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie, former Chief Judge of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Mr. Gianelli earned his undergraduate degree in New York from Hamilton College. He attended law school at California Western School of Law in San Diego, California, and graduated with high honors. While in law school, Mr. Gianelli was an Associate Editor on Law Review. In addition, Mr. Gianelli worked at the Legal Aid Society of San Diego and within the Cold Case Homicide Unit of the San Diego District Attorney’s Office. Mr. Gianelli has extensive experience in both criminal and civil litigation. He has successfully argued cases in federal and state courts in multiple jurisdictions. For example, Mr. Gianelli has achieved favorable results for clients charged with misdemeanors and felonies, successfully argued cases before appellate courts, been appointed counsel in a section 1983 federal action, and defended numerous clients charged with removability in federal immigration courts and the Board of Immigration Appeals. Mr. Gianelli values his relationship with clients, and works hard to earn their trust, respect and loyalty. He practices with professionalism, diligence, integrity and courage, and truly enjoys being an advocate.
