About

Michael Miron Mazek is the founder and lead attorney at Mazek Law Group LLC, based in Chicago. With a comprehensive focus on adoption, estate planning, personal injury, probate, and real estate transactions, Michael brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to his practice. His journey into law began in his teenage years, as he managed rental properties for his Polish-immigrant parents. This early experience in the Chicago landlord-tenant market ignited his passion for addressing the inequalities faced by non-native English speakers and immigrants within the legal system. Michael earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2000, where he studied English-Writing with a minor in Linguistics. His academic excellence was recognized with the prestigious Edward Moskal Journalism Scholarship. He then pursued his Juris Doctor at The John Marshall Law School, graduating in 2004. During his time there, he was an integral member of the law review, The Journal of Computer and Information Law, and made significant contributions to The John Marshall Fair Housing Legal Clinic. Notably, he served as co-counsel in the landmark case of Godinez v. Lackey-Sullivan, which clarified the status of Section 8 housing vouchers as "sources of income." With a commitment to ensuring equitable access to justice, Michael Mazek leverages his extensive legal expertise to advocate for clients in various practice areas. Whether navigating the complexities of real estate transactions, guiding families through the adoption process, or addressing personal injury claims, Michael is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective legal representation to the Chicago community.
