There, he majored in Political Science and minored in History and Pre-Law, earning his degree in 2006. Following his undergraduate studies, Michael attended Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan, where he graduated with distinction in 2009. He began his legal career at the Canton Prosecutor’s Office, where he honed his skills in criminal prosecution and gained invaluable experience investigating cases on behalf of the community. This role provided him with a comprehensive understanding of the local legal system, equipping him with the expertise to navigate complex legal challenges effectively. After his tenure at the prosecutor's office, Michael expanded his legal horizons while working with Attorney Christine D. Finan in Akron, where he addressed a diverse range of family law matters, wills, and criminal law issues. In 2010, he established his own practice, Ashton & Wartko, LLC, to leverage his extensive knowledge and experience to better serve the people of Akron and surrounding areas.
