Michael J. Goldstein is the principal of Goldstein & Associates, Ltd. Mr. Goldstein was admitted to the Illinois bar in 1966, after receiving his Juris Doctor from the Northwestern University School of Law. He has been in the private practice of law in the Chicago metropolitan area since 1975. Mr. Goldstein started practicing law while in the U.S. Army in 1966. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Goldstein was an Assistant State’s Attorney for Cook County and amongst other responsibilities, headed up the State’s Attorney’s Vote Fraud Task Force. In addition to practicing in the various Illinois judicial circuits, Mr. Goldstein is admitted to practice before the Unites States Supreme Court and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals and is certified as a trial attorney before the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. He has successfully tried breach of contract cases, creditor’s rights cases, foreclosure cases, and personal injury cases before both bench and jury In addition to having extensive civil trial court experience, Mr. Goldstein has represented parties before the Illinois Appellate Courts, the Illinois Supreme Court and the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals on a multitude of occasions. Mr. Goldstein has provided legal representation and counseling to more than twenty (20) local and national banks, as well as to a variety of local, national and international businesses. He has assisted numerous major Chicago area law and accounting firms in the collection of delinquent receivables.
