Michael J. Olson has been a dedicated attorney in Michigan since his graduation from Thomas Cooley Law School in 1997. With a focus on personal injury and real estate law, he has built a robust practice that encompasses civil litigation, family law, and business law. Throughout his career, he has successfully represented clients in various courts across Southeastern and Central Michigan, including District Courts, Circuit Courts, Courts of Appeal, Federal Courts, and Bankruptcy Courts. Mr. Olson is admitted to practice in Michigan state courts, Federal Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Renowned for his preparation, honesty, and effectiveness, Mr. Olson has garnered the respect of clients, colleagues, and judges alike. He frequently serves as a mediator and arbitrator in family law and civil litigation cases, often appointed by peers and judges. Additionally, he is selected by the court as a case evaluator for complex civil litigation matters. Mr. Olson's leadership extends to the legal community, where he was elected President of the Livingston County Bar Association and represented the association on the State Bar of Michigan's Representative Assembly. He also served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Livingston County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Olson has been married to his wife Laura since 1983, and they have four grown children, including a son currently serving in the United States Army. He has also volunteered as a Religious Education teacher for middle school children since 1998.
