Michael focuses his practice on estate planning and business matters. Prior to joining Regan Law, Michael was a Post-Graduate Fellow in the Finance and Economic Development division of the City of Chicago’s legal department. While working for the City, Michael represented the Department of Planning and Development in their issuances of loans, municipal bonds, tax increment financing funds, and tax credits for the financing of low-income housing developments and other development projects throughout Chicago. Michael received his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his B.A. from Clemson University. While in law school, he was an associate editor of the Michigan Journal of Private Equity and Venture Capital Law and a student lawyer in the University of Michigan Entrepreneurship Clinic. As a student lawyer, Michael counseled and provided legal services to student start-ups on various issues, including entity formation, employment matters, and intellectual property matters.
