About
I was led to start my own practice in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. At the time I had been practicing maritime law for several years, but had started taking on some cases on the side to expand my skill set, including divorce work. When Katrina hit, no one knew when things would get back to normal. I ended up leaving the firm I’d been working for, but still had people coming to me upon recommendations of other clients with their legal needs. When the courts opened back up, custody and divorce cases were in high demand, and I began taking on these cases in higher volumes. As a graduate of the military academy and someone who served my country as an officer in the Naval Reserve, I have always had strong values of honor, pride and integrity. It is at the core of who I am to be honest, straightforward and direct. I don’t believe in manipulation or misrepresentation. That nature has served me well in the legal field, especially in divorce and family law. When you work with me, you have an attorney who’s going to go to bat for you in every phase of your case, and refuse to be pushed around.
