With a passion for helping people and a mission to leave the world better than she found it, Melissa provides strategic legal counsel in oil and gas law, estate planning, probate, and real property matters. Her firsthand experience as the executor of her grandparents’ estate gave her a profound understanding of the challenges families face in estate administration. This personal insight, coupled with her legal expertise, drives her commitment to making the process as seamless as possible for her clients. Melissa's legal career began with a clerkship for Federal District Judge A. Richard Caputo in the summer of 2006, providing her with invaluable insight into the judicial process. After law school, Melissa spent a number of years working for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, taking a deep dive into administrative law. Melissa specializes in oil and gas law, estate planning, and probate, with a focus on oil and gas title opinions. She enjoys assisting royalty owners and division order departments in resolving title issues and releasing suspense. In a prior role managing the Division Order department for a local Fortune 500 energy company, Melissa worked on several projects across multiple assets in Oklahoma, Ohio, Texas, Wyoming, and Pennsylvania. She also has experience as a corporate attorney in the Land department, curing title for drilling and production Melissa is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Oklahoma City Mineral Lawyers Society, the Estate Planning, Probate, and Trust Section and the Real Property Law Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Oklahoma City Association of Professional Landmen, and the National Association of Division Order Analysts. She is also a proud graduate of the Oklahoma Bar Association Leadership Academy (Class 8).
