Melissa Crompton Bray is a dedicated attorney based in Augusta, Georgia, with a strong commitment to serving her community through her legal expertise. A native of Augusta, she graduated from Lakeside High School in 1999 and earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Augusta State University in 2003. Melissa pursued her Juris Doctor at Barry University in Orlando, graduating in 2007 before returning to Augusta to begin her legal career. Her journey in law commenced at the Richmond County Solicitor’s Office, where she honed her skills in prosecuting misdemeanors, including DUIs and drug offenses, over a five-year tenure. Following her time at the Solicitor's Office, Melissa joined the Augusta Judicial Circuit's District Attorney’s Office. There, she quickly advanced to become a team leader, adeptly managing high-stakes cases, including murder, child molestation, and armed robbery trials, always advocating for fairness and justice. In July 2015, Melissa joined Durham Law Firm, P.C. as an associate before becoming a partner in 2017. She specializes in Plaintiff’s Civil Litigation, focusing on medical malpractice, automotive accidents, and trucking litigation, alongside her work in criminal defense. With her extensive trial experience and a passion for helping clients navigate complex legal challenges, Melissa is committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for those she represents. Outside of her legal practice, Melissa resides in Evans, Georgia with her husband, Michael, and their daughter, Katherine, where they actively engage in their local community.
