About
Megan Jordi Brody is a dedicated immigration attorney and co-founder of Brody Immigration Law, PLLC, based in Alexandria, VA. From an early age, Megan was inspired by the resilience of immigrants in her small Indiana hometown, which experienced a significant influx of Mexican workers in the RV industry. Witnessing firsthand the challenges faced by her friends and classmates, she recognized the profound injustice of their struggles and made a commitment to advocate for their rights. Megan's journey in immigration law began in 2004 as an Americorps paralegal with the Pro Bono Asylum Representation Project (ProBAR) on the Texas/Mexico border. Here, she provided crucial support to attorneys representing vulnerable adults and unaccompanied minors in immigration detention, an experience that solidified her passion for defending the rights of immigrants. During her time in law school and graduate studies, Megan continued her advocacy by working with Catholic Charities, where she assisted immigrant survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in securing lawful status and accessing vital community resources. After earning her law degree cum laude in 2010, she co-founded the New Mexico Immigrant Law Center, the state’s first non-profit organization dedicated to defending low-income immigrants facing deportation. This initiative not only flourished under her leadership but also became a pivotal platform for nurturing future leaders within the immigrant and legal communities. At Brody Immigration Law, PLLC, Megan focuses on immigration and personal injury law, combining her extensive experience and deep-rooted commitment to ensure that her clients receive the justice and support they deserve. With a passion for empowering others and a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding immigration, Megan Jordi Brody is a steadfast advocate for her clients in Alexandria and beyond.
