A graduate of the University of New Hampshire, Matt earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science before obtaining his Juris Doctor from Vermont Law School in 1988. He furthered his legal education by returning to Vermont Law School in 1992, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Master’s Degree in Environmental Law and Policy. This advanced expertise uniquely positions him to navigate the complexities of Superfund legislation, state oil and hazardous materials regulations, and solid waste management laws. Throughout his distinguished career, Matt has provided legal counsel to a diverse clientele, ranging from individuals to publicly traded utility companies. His extensive experience includes serving as in-house counsel for an automobile finance corporation and a landfill capping and closure company. In 2018, Matt expanded his practice by being admitted to the New York Bar, where he practiced in Buffalo for four years before returning to Massachusetts.
