Matthew Allen Russell is a seasoned attorney based in Springfield, MO, specializing in estate planning. Vernon High School, Matthew earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Missouri State University in 2000. His entrepreneurial spirit was evident during his undergraduate years when he successfully operated a video store in Mt. Vernon. He furthered his education at Creighton University from 2000 to 2003, where he participated in numerous mock trial and moot court competitions, securing a victory in the Regional Trial Competition and competing at the national level. Matthew began his legal career at the Greene County Prosecutor's Office in 2003, where he gained invaluable experience handling a wide array of cases, from child support and traffic violations to serious criminal offenses. Over his tenure, he prosecuted thousands of cases and took hundreds to trial, honing his skills in the courtroom. In addition to his legal practice, Matthew is actively involved in the community. He was honored to be selected for Class 24 of Leadership Springfield in 2009, where he served as Class Representative on the Board of Directors and is currently the President of the Board. He also teaches Character Education at Wilson’s Creek School in Battlefield, Missouri, and has served on the CASP Board of Directors and as Vice-Chair of Violence Free Families. Matthew engages in pro bono work for Harmony House, further demonstrating his commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
